Get in Touch

St. Bernard Parish Released Inmates is a private reference, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, arrange a transfer, or obtain an official booking or release record for you. Contact the responsible public office directly.

Choose the Responsible Office

Each office answers a different part of a St. Bernard Parish custody or release question. Start with the agency that created the record. Confirm office hours and any charge before visiting, sending a request, or paying for copies because schedules and fees can change.

Immediate Local Custody

St. Bernard Parish Prison / Corrections
1900 Paris Road
Chalmette, LA 70043
SBSO Corrections line: 504-278-7645
DPS&C directory line: 504-278-7650

Use Corrections to ask whether a person is currently present. If not, ask whether the last movement was a community release or a transfer and on what date. The two listed numbers come from separate official agency sources. No public prison lobby or release-processing hours were established, so call before visiting.

Local Booking and Release Records

St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office
2 Courthouse Square
Chalmette, LA 70043
Main: 504-271-2504
Criminal Records/Reports: 504-278-7726
Public Information: 504-278-7614

Administrative hours published by SBSO are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding holidays. Ask Criminal Records for the existing booking sheet, release sheet, custody movement history, or equivalent. Include the person's full name, date of birth, booking number if known, and a narrow date range.

The published fee schedule lists a letter of incarceration at $25, copies including electronic copies at $1 per page, and photo, video, or audio at $10 per disc. Those figures do not guarantee the price of a release-record request. Verify which item applies and request an estimate first.

Court Orders and Case Outcomes

St. Bernard Parish Clerk of Court
1101 West St. Bernard Highway
Chalmette, LA 70043
Mailing: P.O. Box 1746, Chalmette, LA 70044
Phone: 504-271-3434
Official clerk website | Criminal eSearch

The clerk holds the court docket and minutes that may show bond orders, dismissal, sentence, time-served credit, revocation, or completion. A court order explains the legal action, while the jail movement record usually establishes the physical out time. Online criminal access and images are paid services. Recheck the displayed rates before purchase and obtain the official minute when precision matters.

Louisiana DPS&C Telephone Locator

Inmates and Families Information

Use the locator for a person in Louisiana state legal custody. Provide the DPS&C number or the person's name and date of birth. The documented information can include an assigned facility, facility contact, projected release date when applicable, and the probation or parole district. A projected date is an estimate, not proof of actual departure.

State Sentence Calculations

Louisiana DPS&C Time Computation
Phone: 225-342-0799

Use this route for sentence-calculation questions after official sentencing documents have been processed. The Master Prison Record is the state sentence-calculation record. Do not send an individual calculation question to the public-record email.

Public LAVNS registration is a separate process and does not automatically enroll someone in Victim Outreach.
